Opening of OUR Bareroot fruit tree season- open gate 2 days only

Due to the many customer inquires- we are opening our gate for these 2 days for sales of fruti trees with the new bare rooted tress available now and our potted range as well.

So from 11am sunday & monday 13-14th june 2010. we will sell our trees here at Invermay rd Monbulk, come in from the Olinda Monabulk rd end and we are on the left at the top of the hill.

Telopea Mtn 2010 Fruit trees, Berries, Bushes & Citrus available

Pears, cherry, stone fruit- plum, nectarine, peach, figs and so much more available as bare rooted stock - with some in pots, The citrus are available in dwarf 1mts tall, 20cm pots, or larger advanced trees plus double grafted pots as well, some excellent for cold climates.

This list of apples will be available in winter june - Aug as 1year old grafted trees barerooted, some will also be avaialble as 2yr old in pots.

There may also be others as well we have available in our collection around 450

Our open day this year has changed format

With the nursery now open for sales with  hundreds of varities of fruit trees available.

We will open the nursery & 100yr old shed from 11-4pm entry is now free (not $10)

We will sell devonshire tea/ coffee plus maybe cake and apple pie,

Heritage fruit trees for Werribee Mansion

Silvia and I were happy in Nov 2009 to deliver some of our Heritage fruit trees from our nursery that will be used to reinstate the 1920's Orchard behind Werribee Mansion, although records of the original varieties are not available apples, pears, plums & Quinces will be planted to add to the existing old trees that were very overgrown, we also know peaches were grown in the times of 1923-1

Our first Public Open day will be on Sunday 27th of September.

Since I completed the Permacuture Design for the property in 1995, Telopea Mtn Permaculture Nursery has become home to many hundreds of varieties of fruiting trees and plants, these have been continualy planted for the 15 years we have been here.

Telopea Mtn Nursery- our bare rooted fruit tree range for 2009 this winter.

We have the following trees listed below available this year from June 2009 through to August.   See Market list at end of this article for dates and locations.

This year we have around 250 varieties of fruiting plants to sell, these are  suitable for Organic and BD farms as well as your backyard.

2008 Grafting day at Telopea Mtn Permaculture

Over 400 grafted trees ready to go,  88 apple vars plus pear & cherry, we also had over 100 sub-tropicals as well as berries and figs. Then we had 100 more Nashi, apples and pears as scion to fresh graft onto 6 vars of rootstocks.

rather than me duplictate the same notes on trees these sites can give excellent info on many varieties , they however are not comprehensive on US and some Aussie ones.
