Over 400 grafted trees ready to go, 88 apple vars plus pear & cherry, we also had over 100 sub-tropicals as well as berries and figs. Then we had 100 more Nashi, apples and pears as scion to fresh graft onto 6 vars of rootstocks.

3 days work to set up and nice fine weather until the morning of the actual grafting day itself, but with the marques it all went very well.
People enjoyed the Afternoon tea inside the nice warm classroom and then we went for a tour of the fruit trees and other systems here on the farm, lots of discussion on 30 plus species of fruit trees as we walked around, plus poultry and other animals, then we looked at the BD compost heaps and finished up with the No Dig bed we did in 2003 for the Gardening Aust program, this now has black soil 6 inches deep and keeps a Furte avocado and the veggies very happy close to the back door.
